GPE Training

GPE Training Just Got an Upgrade and is Now in Volunteeripate!

GPE training has officially moved from Hive to Volunteeripate, making it easier than ever to complete your required training, sign your waivers, and unlock your GPE shifts all in one place! 

Whether you’re a seasoned GPE veteran or joining the crew for your very first Burn (welcome, New Blood!), Volunteeripate has everything you need to get event ready. It’s smoother than ever, and your existing Burning Man profile is your golden ticket to all things GPE.

Completing Your Required GPE Training & Waivers

  1. Navigate to https://burningman.volunteeripate.com/ and log in using your Burning Man profile.
  2. Click the (three horizontal lines) menu button in the upper-left corner.
  3. Select Apply for a Form.
  4. Click Apply next to the available GPE Training.
  5. You’ll first be presented with the GPE / Burning Man Waiver, Behavioral Standards, and Volunteering Agreement.
    • Read through the entire document.
    • Check each required acknowledgment and electronically sign where prompted.
    • Don’t just skip to the end! There are multiple acknowledgments throughout the document that must be completed before you can continue.
  6. Confirm your waiver status anytime by opening the Menu, selecting My Account, then Waivers.
    • Important: You must complete and sign all required waivers before you can access the training or sign up for GPE shifts.
  7. Answer the entry question.
    • If you answer No, please follow the instructions provided.
    • If you answer Yes, continue through the training.
  8. Work through each training page, selecting Next in the lower-right corner to continue.
  9. Complete the knowledge check at the end.
    • A score of 100% is required to successfully complete the training. Don’t worry, you can review the material and try again if needed.
  10. Verify your completion.
    • When you’ve successfully finished, you’ll see a green “Approved” badge indicating your training is complete.

Ready to Volunteer!

Once your required training has been approved, your eligible GPE shifts will automatically unlock in Volunteeripate, and you’ll be ready to sign up for shifts.
