Do I need prior GPE experience? No prior GPE experience is required. We train every new volunteer from the ground up. You’ll get orientation, shadow shifts, and support from experienced crew so you feel confident before taking on independent responsibilities.

Can introverts fit in? Yes. Introverts are a great fit for GPE. Many of our most reliable, steady, and observant volunteers identify as introverts. GPE has a wide range of roles, and not all of them require high‑energy crowd interaction. Some shifts are quiet, focused, and partner‑based, which introverts often excel at.
Can I volunteer for only a few shifts? Yes. You can volunteer for as few or as many shifts as you’re able to commit to. We appreciate every hour volunteers give. Most first‑year volunteers sign up for a handful of shifts, and that’s perfectly fine. You’ll still receive full training and support, and you can schedule your shifts in a way that fits your availability.
